Starmount was founded in 1963 as the first master-planned community in the Charlotte area. It was designed by superstar landscape architect Arthur Letofsky and is known for its wide streets and low-density residential building options. Starmount’s first residents moved in during the mid-’60s, and the neighborhood has grown considerably since then. The community is located in the southern part of the city, just across the Creek from Uptown.

The neighborhood’s best features

Nearby, you’ll find the Fort Charlotte Boat Ramp, where you can tie up your boat and enjoy a relaxing outing at the river’s edge. There’s also a dog park for your furry friends. And as an added bonus, you’ll also have incredible views of the city from Boomer Park.
