Where Is the Charlotte Museum of History?

The Charlotte Museum of History is located at 111 North Tryon Street in Charlotte’s Uptown neighborhood. It’s a short walk from Uptown’s many restaurants, bars, and hotels and is just a short drive from many of the state’s attractions.  There are also a number of public transportation options that make it easier to get around Charlotte in the future. You can take a train to Fort Tryon, where you’ll be able to get off and walk over to the museum. There’s also a Charlotte Trolley that can take you from the city center to the museum, but you’ll have to get off at the Tryon Street stop.

Best Time to Visit the Charlotte Museum of History

The Charlotte Museum of History is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the year. It’s part of the city’s Passport program, which means the museum is free to the public during the summer months. The museum is also open for special events, such as Halloween Haunt and the Carolina Renaissance Festival.
